Here’s a quick peak at the project I just finished at uni. We’ve been thrown right in with some really fast paced projects and this one was based around unusual materials. I decided to choose onionskin and linseed putty, possibly the two most disgusting smelling materials out there. And I decided to put it all on my face. I wanted to continue along the bruise/ skin lines of my last collection, so I’ve been making some ‘second skins’. Love the way the yellows and purples could be mistaken for actual bruises.

A quick one just to tell you about this design sight that I’m subscribed to. AA13 is a magazine and blog about design and architecture, but it is so much more. I found out about it when research possibilities for my portfolio. They feature some amazing new graphic design, product design and architecture. It is such a delight to receive email from them.

Peace Buzzard

So I have just finished probably the busiest project of my life. No joke, I really miss sleeping… But as of tomorrow I will be finished and on my way back to London to spend a lovely Christmas with the family.

I can finally show you the pieces that I have made for this project. You’ve already seen the cuff, but I also designed earrings, 2 rings and a necklace. A d to make multiples of each piece, I really hate batch production atm, but oh well it is done.

The best part of this project was getting to see the amazing pieces being created by my insanely talented classmates. I’ll do a post on the work that I bought in a bit, but its safe to say that this is the main reason for my low bank balance and I couldn’t be happier.
